Landfill Gas
Landfill gas generators use methane that is produced by the decomposition of organic materials in existing landfills to produce clean, renewable energy. The process also removes harmful methane from the environment.
Green Power EMC's members supply energy from five landfill gas facilities. These facilities combined make Green Power EMC one of the largest purchasers of Georgia-based energy from landfills.
